Week 3: Flip Teaching
What is Flip Teaching?: The concept involves the following ideas: Homework would be first, what you normally do in class. You would introduce a concept by video or website for students to view at home. The assignment would replace the class lecture, lesson or introduction. Then class time would be used as you might have use a homework assignment to provide practice or further the concepts.

1.The idea is that you would find or prepare videos or use websites that are relevant to your curriculum, that broadens it.
2. Students would watch these videos or study websites for homework and take notes and respond to questions to demonstrate what they learned .
3. Then in class the next day the work they did at home would allow for expanding on the ideas

Task 1: The following videos provide insight many of the questions you might have.. Watch a few or as many as interest you. You are not expected to watch for hours but do consider consider at least the three referenced below.

    • Although this approach might be the most effective way to teach, what obstacles does it present for you personally?

    • How would you assure that your students actually watched the video at home
Avoiding the pitfalls.
